It is a balance of new hits and timeless classics. There are party songs, slow songs for first dances, and parent-figure dance tracks too.

These are from songs I am seeing trending.

The Reality

I know I will get guff for leaving off classic hits like “Unchained Melody” and having modern hits like “Shivers” on it too. My list is subjective.

Believe me, I know ‘90s, 2000s, and early 2010s hits are hot. But these are hot too. This list is more encompassing for all couples and guests - and different moments of a wedding day and not only for dancing.

I want to consider different cultures and areas of the country. The same list of songs played in NYC will not always pack the dance floor in Milwaukee, Las Vegas, San Diego, etc. So, you will find a variety of hits.

YES! You will see line dances. They get people dancing! Keep in mind that your wedding may be one of the few times they get out of the house and dance.

Ultimately, the wedding couple decides what is played at their wedding!

Yes, I know some couples have Uptown Funk, Celebration, and others on their do-not playlists. However, the songs below still have huge streaming and purchase numbers.

Lastly, my goal was not to have a list of the same songs every year. There are some surprises.
