2000s Hip Hop music is VERY popular right now. Hip Hop is on fire for couples getting married. I tried to cover a wide variety of subgenres like crunk, snap music, trap, and many dance crazes.

This is the 3rd edition of songs from the 2000s. Also, check out 2000s R&B and 2000s Pop playlists. More hits from the 2000s continue in future releases.

My goal is always to help you with a short list as there are only so many great songs you can play at a wedding. This list caps at 43. If you have a song that should be on the list, please share in the comments.

Table of Contents:

  • Party Songs

  • Background Songs (Dinner/Cocktail Hour)

  • (Spotify Playlist) - 43 songs!

One condition to this list. Every song must have been released in the 2000s. Nothing from the 1990s and 2010s!

Party Time

99 Problems - Jay-Z

2004 - “99 Problems" peaked at #30 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song's impact transcended the charts. It's considered one of Jay-Z's most iconic songs and a classic of hip-hop culture even today. Another party jam is Jay-Z’s "Public Service Announcement".

Bounce with Me - Lil' Bow Wow, Xscape

2000 - "Bounce With Me" was Lil' Bow Wow's debut single shortly after his 13th birthday. The song reached #1 on the Hot Rap Tracks chart and #20 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Buy U a Drank (Shawty Snappin') - T-Pain

2007 - The song’s heavy use of auto-tune on his vocals became a defining characteristic of the song and developed a reputation as the "Auto-Tune King". It reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
