Matt, this is a comprehensive and valuable study! Iβm glad to see New Jersey towards the top of the pricing charts. Services that have contributed to our multi op commanding a higher average price point include musician, fusion packages, uplighting, and Photo Booths in particular. As a multi op owner, Iβve avoided tiered pricing. Itβs potentially problematic to book DJs who are less skilled/experienced at lower prices, connoting that the service quality will be inferior.
Thank you for the kind words, Gregg, and the feedback. I never ran a multi-op, so I do not have experience in booking DJs who have just gotten into DJing. It's interesting because all of the DJs that whitelabelled under me or I recommended had at least the same skill as I. I see DJ companies charging more for booking the business owner, which would be the same scenario as you are saying, "What, they are not as good?". Great topic for another issue.
