When speaking to a venue owner at the 2022 Wedding MBA, she mentioned one of the reasons she subscribes to the newsletter was to stay current on new music.

So, this week I want to share with you the music artists at the top of the mountain on Spotify and YouTube RIGHT NOW.

Who are the most popular U.S. music artists right now?

A few observations:

The continued rise of EDM/Dance into the mainstream with artists like David Guetta, Calvin Harris, Alan Walker, and Marshmello.
Step aside famous Latin artists Bad Bunny, Shakira, J Balvin, and Daddy Yankee. There is a YUGE growth of regional Mexican artists. Many listen to Peso Pluma, Fuerza Regida, Grupo Firme, Carin León, and more.
Listening to Indian artists climbs including Arijit Singh, Neha Kakkar, and A.R. Rahman.
The use of dollar signs in artists’ names such as $uicideboy$, Pink Sweat$, A$AP Rocky, A$AP Ferg, and Ke$sha. Let’s see if the exclamation point catches on (P!nk, Snap!, Panic! At The Disco, and Wham!).
A few “classic” artists, such as Queen, AC/DC, 2Pac, and Guns N' Roses, are still going strong.
