🎵 I want to hear your music (call for subscriber playlists)
Share a link to your favorite playlist to be in the Wedding MusicLetter.
I am doing something a bit different this week in asking you to share your favorite playlist.
Share Your Favorite Playlist
Showcase your music prowess with my readers. The playlist must be visible publically. It can be a Spotify playlist (preferred), on your website, etc.
Share a link to your favorite playlist with what the playlist is about to be featured in an upcoming issue. (Reply to email or share in the comments)
Upcoming
What is planned in upcoming issues? After interviewing DJs on the Wedding Songs Podcast since September, I think we can all agree that music from the 1990s to the 2010s is the most popular to play at weddings. So, I will target popular genres within those eras. You can look forward to seeing 2000s Hip Hop, 1990s R&B, etc.
Recap
I think it is important to look back too. I started this “newsletter” in mid-2020. Soooo much has already been written.
Music Guides - These are tips/hacks into music planning including wedding checklists, ceremony and reception music guides, and reading a room.
Playlists - The most popular section for inspiration. Everything from popular vs. alternative hits for common wedding moments, EDM, Reggaeton, and LGBTQ+.
New & Trending - I share the new wedding songs released and trending hits on the last day of the month.
Insights - I share thoughts and research into topics affecting the music and wedding industries including dry weddings, DJ vs. Spotify, and most streamed artists.
Books - See the two books I have written. One for planning a wedding day playlist (The Wedding Music Toolkit) and the other for a library of popular wedding hits (Wedding Songs Planner).
Thank you for reading the Wedding MusicLetter. Without your support, none of this would be possible.
Have a blessed day,
Matthew Campbell
P.S. I hope you take the time to share with me your favorite playlist to share with everyone. You can reply to this email or share in the comments (with what the playlist is about). You can also share it via email - hello@myweddingsongs.com.
