🎵 Upbeat Background Music Playlist
Know modern songs to play during a wedding reception cocktail hour and dinner that will not bore guests (upbeat).
Background music is VERY important to the success of your wedding reception.
The “easy” reception playlist is to play slow romantic love songs as guests arrive until the meal is served.
The “easy” reception playlist is to play jazz favorites during dinner including John Coltrane and Dave Brubeck.
If you follow this plan, you are BORING guests! They WILL leave early from BOREDOM.
Background music sets the tone. First, consider not waiting to have guests dancing until later in the celebration. Why not have dancing while the cocktails are flowing?
Next, if your people want to talk and catch up before dancing begins, consider playing mid-tempo songs that are not party hits but faster than slow dance tracks.
Rather, play songs guests will sing along to, tap their toes to, and groove to while seated.
There are many great mid-tempo hits that set the tone like “Stand By Me” by Otis Redding, “I Want It That Way” by the Backstreet Boys, and “Just The Way You Are” by Bruno Mars.
Thus, challenge yourself to create a background playlist that has your personality but also entertains guests.
