Background
As I get older in life, I feel an obligation to help new DJs get started in their DJ careers. But, this book is much more than for new DJs because even veteran DJs enjoy it for new song ideas and use it as a guide for in-person meetings with couples.
When I DJ’d weddings, I would give a condensed version of the current book to couples that recently booked with me to help them plan their weddings. From there, it spawned into a website - My Wedding Songs, a podcast - Wedding Songs Podcast, and a newsletter - the Wedding MusicLetter.
My love for music and weddings lives on through these avenues.

Past Book Reviews
At a minimum, it is a great starting line to create some crates or virtual folders with what you need to begin being a success as a wedding DJ. Deeper, it will train you to begin to understand how weddings work. This should be an initial purchase by anyone getting to DJing weddings, but also, like myself, a valuable reminder of some of the classics I have forgotten or newer songs I didn’t know were hot.
