One of the fastest-growing Mexican genres is corridos tumbados, also known as trap corrido, a variation of traditional corridos with an urbano flare. Natanael Cano is one of the leading artists of the genre.
Peso Pluma continues to skyrocket to fame, topping the global top 50 charts on Spotify and dethroning Bad Bunny as the most-streamed artist in Mexico.
Drill music is a subgenre of hip hop music that originated in Chicago in the early 2010s and is growing in popularity. Ice Spice’s collaboration with PinkPantheress on “Boy’s A Liar Pt. 2”. is a huge crossover hit. The song hit #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and hit #1 in the US on Spotify and SoundCloud.
