One condition to this list. Every song must have been released in the 1990s. Nothing from the 1980s and 2000s!
If you are interested, I did create a list of 90s Hip Hop and 90s Country.
Pop-Punk
Many of the great pop-punk songs were from the early 2000s. The late 90s was the beginning of the mass popularity of the subgenre. If I had to pick a song from a request, it would be from this list.
blink-182 – All the Small Things
1999 - It's actually a love song dedicated to Tom DeLonge's girlfriend at the time. The song topped the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart and reached #6 on the Billboard Hot 100.
blink-182 – What’s My Age Again?
1999 - "What's My Age Again?" was Blink-182's first single to feature their new drummer, Travis Barker. It peaked on the Billboard Hot 100 at #58, marking the band's first significant crossover success to pop radio.
Green Day – Basket Case
1994 - "Basket Case" holds the title of Green Day's most streamed song on Spotify (excluding remixes and alternate versions). This shows the song's enduring popularity among new generations of listeners.
