The Wedding MusicLetter continues with hits from the 2000s. This week is Country!

This is the 5th edition of songs from the 2000s. Also, check out 2000s Pop-punk, 2000s Hip Hop, 2000s R&B, and 2000s Pop playlists.

Table of Contents:

  • Party Songs

  • Background Songs (Dinner/Cocktail Hour)

  • Slow Dance Songs

  • (Spotify Playlist) - 37 songs!

One condition to this list. Every song must have been released in the 2000s. Nothing from the 1990s and 2010s!

Party Time

All‐American Girl - Carrie Underwood

2007 - The song reached #1, making it Carrie Underwood's fourth consecutive number-one country single. It also reached #27 on the Hot 100. Underwood drew inspiration from her own life experiences, including her marriage to a hockey star and her jobs as a vet and waitress.

Beer for My Horses - Toby Keith, Willie Nelson

2003 - The song reached #1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart and became Keith's 11th number-one single and Nelson's 23rd. It is a classic "good guys vs. bad guys" story, with Keith and Nelson playing the roles of righteous avengers seeking payback for a wrong done to a friend.

Boondocks - Little Big Town

2005 - It was the band’s first Top 10 hit on the Billboard Country Songs chart, paving the way for their future success. It celebrates the simple pleasures of small-town life.
