🎵 Guitar Background Music is Ideal for Your Wedding Day
Set the perfect vibe and elegance with guitar music on your special day.
I don’t think anyone would doubt the importance of music during a wedding day. It sets the tone for each moment such as the romance for the ceremony to the fun party time.
Many couples have had live musicians for their ceremony whether it be a harpist, string quartet, bagpipes, or a solo violinist. Instrument players add a moment of authenticity and excitement to any ceremony and reception.
There is a growing trend to have live musicians at weddings. No, I don’t mean a band, but rather solo saxophone players, drummers, pianists, violinists, etc. Of course, having a flamenco guitar player during the opening of your reception would be memorable.
However, I believe the guitar is commonly overlooked as an option for wedding day music. But I am here to remind us all of the beauty of the guitar sound - and other instruments.
Benefits of having a guitar player at your wedding:
Versatility: From classical to contemporary, a guitar can fit any wedding theme.
Emotional Impact: A soft, melodic guitar can evoke deep emotions, enhancing romantic and heartfelt moments.
Elegance and Intimacy: Unlike loud, full-band performances, a solo or duo guitar creates an intimate, personal atmosphere.
Choosing the Right Style of Guitar Music
Not all guitar music is created equal. Here is a breakdown of styles of guitar music to play.
Classical Guitar: For a sophisticated, timeless vibe. Great for formal or vintage-style weddings.
Acoustic Guitar: A warm, organic sound perfect for a relaxed, bohemian, or rustic wedding.
Fingerstyle Guitar: Detailed and intricate, ideal for a more elegant, refined ambiance.
Contemporary Acoustic Covers: Modern songs are played acoustically for a fresh twist on traditional wedding music.
Spanish or Flamenco Guitar: Adds an exotic, passionate flair to your celebration.
Best Moments to Incorporate Guitar Music
Pre-Ceremony: Setting the tone as guests arrive and take their seats.
Processional: Walking down the aisle to a live guitar performance can make the moment more special.
Post-Ceremony: A serene, joyful guitar melody during your exit.
Reception Background: Creating a mellow or upbeat atmosphere during cocktail hour or dinner.
First Dance: A personalized acoustic rendition of your favorite song.
Toasts and Speeches: Subtle guitar music to accompany the exchange of vows, speeches, and toasts.
