The Wedding MusicLetter concludes wedding songs from the 2000s with Rock!

This is the 7th edition and final list of songs from the 2000s (7/7). Also, check out 2000s Electronic/Dance, 2000s Country, 2000s Pop-punk, 2000s Hip Hop, 2000s R&B, and 2000s Pop playlists.

Table of Contents:

  • Party Songs

  • Slow Songs

  • (Spotify Playlist) - 30 songs!

One condition to this list. Every song must have been released in the 2000s. Nothing from the 1990s and 2010s!

Party Time

Warning: You must use your judgment as to when to play the songs suggested below. Some are okay earlier in the evening, some are for later for couples that like to rock out!

Ain’t Rest For The Wicked - Cake The Elephant

2008 - The song became a top 40 hit in the UK and reached #83 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the US. Even though the song talks about someone struggling to escape a life of crime, it has become a rock sing-along anthem for any party setting.

Alive - P.O.D.

2001 - MTV Domination - “Alive" became one of MTV's most-played videos of 2001 (back when they played music videos). The song speaks as a reflection on life and its preciousness. It also carries a powerful message of hope and overcoming adversity.

All Summer Long - Kid Rock

2008 - Did you know the song samples elements from Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Sweet Home Alabama" and Warren Zevon's "Werewolves of London"? It perfectly captures the spirit of summer with its catchy melody and nostalgic lyrics. It peaked at #23 on at Billboard Hot 100.
